AUSTRALIAN TOP FUEL CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCES NAMING RIGHTS PARTNER, MAJOR TV BROADCAST DEAL, ROUND 1 TICKETS ON SALE

Top Fuel Australia has today announced that Burson Auto Parts has agreed to a minimum two-year deal to become naming rights partner of the Australian Top Fuel Championship (ATFC).

The series will be known as the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship until at least the end of 2023. The ATFC and Burson will work together to bring more racing to more fans at more tracks around Australia.

ATFC co-promoter Andy Lopez welcomed Burson to the Top Fuel Championship.

“We’re proud to welcome Burson Auto Parts as naming rights partner to the Championship in our first year. Burson is an iconic Australian brand with a proud history in motorsport at all levels. Team Burson’s investment means we are able to broadcast all championship rounds, including Top Fuel and other participating categories, around Australia and the world.”

Anthony Hughes, General Manager Marketing at Burson Automotive, was delighted about today’s announcement.

“Team Burson are very excited to partner with the pinnacle of motorsport horsepower, the Australian Top Fuel Championship. We look forward to giving our teams, customers and the wider Burson community the chance to enjoy and experience this sensational category.

“At Burson, we like to do motorsport a little differently, spreading the love and seeking opportunities to support a mix of grassroots, local and the more unique Australian Motorsport categories.”

It’s a big day of announcements, with championship promoters announcing a broadcast plan that provides fans with access to Aussie drag racing free of charge.

Top Fuel is back on free to air TV for the first time in ten years. 7mate will broadcast a fully produced Hour of Power after every round, showing all the Top Fuel drag racing action and highlights of other categories.

In further good news, every round of the Burson Auto Parts Top Fuel Championship will be streamed live and free with an expert commentary team around Australia.

Last, and certainly not least, the Burson Auto Parts Top Fuel Championship will have significant global television coverage. North American viewers can see all the down under drag racing action on MAVTV with a household reach of 35 million. Motorvision, with a household reach of 25 million, will take the Aussie action through Europe and other markets.

The Championship is providing the broadcast free of charge to all outlets, ensuring maximum coverage and exposure for Top Fuel and other categories that race at their events.

ATFC co-promoter Nathan Prendergast has been working hard to secure a strong broadcast arrangement to bring great benefits to drag racing.

“Drag Racing is one of the few motorsports that’s great to watch live and is also fantastic on TV. The investment from Team Burson means we’ve been able to put together a broadcast deal that brings more racing to more fans around Australia. This is sensational for everyone in the sport – racers, sponsors, participating venues, and most importantly, the fans.”
